Cycling
in Korea
Cycling is necessary for many reasons,
but lack of infrastructure and recognition about cycling culture by the citizens
are the main problems in Korea. Paradoxically speaking, we see big potential
to improve this situation because we know what the problems are.

For leisure, cycling is quite common
in Korea. There are many activities related to it. More people have
become interested in incorporating cycling into their weekend plans since employees
of Korean companies started working just 5 days a week recently (They used to
work 5 and a half days).
BUT, cycling as a transportation
means is very low. The main reason is insufficient infrastructure, the
core of which is the government's policy. As you can see through the research
data on our website, a huge number of willing cyclists would commute by
bicycle if the infrastructure were sufficient.
Government and autonomous local
entities recognize this fact and are now making regulations and improving circumstance.
Korea is famous for the world wide
power of its internet users. Most Koreans get the information they need
through the internet. First-rate internet infrastructure, first-rate Internet
diffusion rate in the world, that's Korea. Now, Koreans want information
about cycling and bikes themselves.
Korea has a thirst for information
about bicycles, cycling infrastructure and advanced cycling culture..
